CONWAY — The Kennett High cross-country team is off and running. The local harriers turned in several good performances on a difficult course in the season-opening Newfound Invitational in Bristol on Saturday in a five-school meet. Both KHS squads placed second in the meet.

“It was a difficult day,” said Bernie Livingston, Eagles’ head coach. “I’d say this was the first or second most slowest course we have ever run in the state of New Hampshire. It was such a tough course.”
