CONWAY — The Kennett High field hockey team celebrated its seniors on Thursday afternoon and then closed the regular season on a winning note to secure the No. 2 seed seed and earn a first-round bye in the playoffs which are slated to begin on Thursday.

The Eagles finished the season on a five-match winning streak to improve to 12-2 on the fall. The hometown flock beat Merrimack Valley 1-0 in Penacook last Tuesday and then topped Derryfield 2-0 on Senior Day last Thursday.
