CONWAY — Saturday couldn’t have gone any better for the Kennett High ice hockey team at the Ham Ice Arena. The Eagles hosted their annual Valley Appreciation Night in which they honored area businesses for supporting the team, held the fifth annual Teddy Bear Toss followed by Skate with the Eagles — an opportunity for youngsters to skate and have pictures taken with the team.
In the middle of all of the festivities was an exciting high school hockey game that went down to the wire. Kennett kept its playoff hopes alive by scoring three goals in the final 3:20 of the third period to beat Moultonborough-Inter-Lakes 4-2.
