Sean Guinard made his professional debut on the mound for the St. George Roadrunners (7-14) on Saturday in Calgary (Alberta, Canada) against the red-hot Vipers. The Golden Baseball League leaders (19-7) exercised plenty of patience at the plate, coupled with a nervous start by Guinard scoring a run in both the first and second innings on their way to a 13-2 victory.

Guinard, 23, of Conway, pitched four innings while yielding six hits; five runs, all earned; walked five; and struck out two. He did collect his first pro hit, lacing a single in a 1-1 performance at the plate.
