JACKSON — Runners and walkers had no problem staying hydrated when they toed the starting line for the prestigious Jackson Covered Bridge 10K on Friday night. In arguably the wettest run in this event's storied history, Dillion Labonte, 20, of Lee, successfully repeated as the race winner, finishing in 35:02, while Corey Dowe, 31, of Conway, took top honors for the women in 39:07 and was 10th overall.

Seventy-two people finished this year’s race (up from 62 last year).
