MANCHESTER — It was a golden day for five local athletes who took part in the New Hampshire Senior Games at Manchester Memorial High School on Aug. 23. Conway residents Eileen Livingston and daughters Cathy Livingston and Terry (Livingston) Ballou, along with Suz Laughland and Art Viens of Sandwich, all won gold medals in their respective age groups.

Ballou also broke the state record in the 400 and 800 meters, while her mother, Eileen, shattered the state record in the 1,500-meter power-walk by almost 20 seconds. Laughland broke her own record in the power-walk, too.
