Whitehorse and Cathedral ledges elegantly frame the western side of the Mount Washington Valley. Last Saturday, before the snow, I did the White Ledge Loop around Whitehorse Ledge. I like going back there. It is right next to town yet spectacular.

The trail passes through varied terrain. It is impressive when you walk just beneath Whitehorse Ledge past giant angular boulders that fell from it when the last glacier retreated, and you look up at it through leafless trees.
