North Country Angler - trout in full troutliage

Fall foliage has been rapid this season. The aggregate of leaves from the trees happened quickly and disappeared just as fast. Each year is a little different, and this year’s drought certainly had an impact on the colors of the leaves.

For the brook trout angler, the display of colors is a welcome sight. Walking through the woods and coming upon a remote trout pond lined with spruce and maple trees is a cornucopia of colors and scents. It is one of the reasons that anglers like to fish for brook trout. Brook trout are found in beautiful places.
