As the Jeep turned off the pavement, the driver reached down and shifted into four-wheel drive. The road into the remote pond had deteriorated over the years and the days of using two-wheel drive and low clearance vehicles had long passed.

As the Jeep rocked and rattled over the boulders that now protruded from the trail, the two occupants swayed with the movement. The Jeep crawled over the obstacles, and soon the pond was in sight. It would not be long before the two would embark on their annual visit to this untapped jewel.
