Tin Mountain Conservation Center’s Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb is only a week away. On Saturday, Aug. 15 (rain date Aug. 16), over 500 riders are registered to tackle the 7.6-mile climb up the Northeast’s highest peak. With an average grade of 12 percent, extended sections of 18 percent and ‘The Wall’ at 22 percent, Mount Washington is one tough Hillclimb!
For some riders, it will definitely be a race to break records and make the podium. For others, it will be just a challenge to see if they have the strength and perseverance to make it to the top.
