While you are reading this column, 42 sleep-deprived, silly, slap-happy and fun-loving runners are circling the Livingston Oval at Kennett High School. The 24 hours of fun began at 6 p.m. Friday and concludes at 6 p.m. Saturday.

As I'm writing, I've started packing for my overnight at Kennett. Many changes in running clothes, a few pairs of shoes, headlamp, warm clothes for after each run, snacks, sleeping bag, tent, lounge chair and whatever else I can think of. The weather forecast is looking good, warm but dry, and we may even catch some of the end of Perseid meteor shower.
