Night is illuminating at the Moat Mountain 24 Hours of Great Glen

Though sometimes it was a bit eerie mountain bike racing at night in the 24th annual Moat Mountain 24 Hours of Great Glen, Berlin’s Aubrie Brochu found beauty in the stars.

“The stars are so cool,” the 15 year-old Coos Cycling Club member said Sunday morning after a second place finish in the event’s 12 hour race, completing eight laps or some 73 miles. “But my favorite part is when you cross the road, you see all the campsites and they are all lighting up. It’s just so beautiful. Everybody’s camping. We’re all doing the same thing.”
