The bicycle is doing a complete 360-degree rotation back to its 19th century origins. Roads weren’t paved when the bicycle was invented in Europe around 1817. The balloon tires were wide so in a sense the current explosion of gravel riding is a return to cycling’s roots.

But of course, the bikes are better.
