A toddler on a strider bike raced around the 14th annual Kids’ Bike Safety Day’s Bike Rodeo Course at Story Land in Glen on May 13. She had no concept of staying on the right, staying in her lane or watching out for others. She just wanted to zip around the course and have fun.

At the other end of the developmental range, a 10-year-old boy pedaled his bike on the course with control but blew through several stop signs. He knew to stop but didn’t bother. Jackson Police Chief Chris Perley had to pull him over for a “talk.”
