The roundabout by the Conway Police Station at the intersection of Eastman Road and East Conway Road opened for traffic Friday, and motorists appeared to be adjusting. A fatal accident in 2018 that killed two people on a motorcycle prompted the state and town to make the intersection safer. There was initial discussion of installing a traffic light, but engineers determined a roundabout would be safer and move traffic more efficiently. To accommodate truck traffic, it is larger than the three roundabouts on the North-South Road.

This week’s TeleTalk question is: Do you think the new roundabout by the police station has solved the safety and congestion problems?
