Tuesday is Primary Day, when voters from both parties pick candidates to represent them in the general election in November. For U.S. Senate, Democratic candidate Rep. Chris Pappas and Republican former Sen. John E. Sununu hold comfortable leads. The battles will be waged for Congress. Stefany Shaheen and Maura Sullivan are the leading candidates on the Democratic ticket, and Hollie Noveletsky and Anthony DiLorenzo on the Republican ticket in District 1. In District 2, which includes Jackson, Sandwich and Albany, Democratic incumbent Rep. Maggie Goodlander is expected to win easily, as is Lily Tang Williams in the Repbulican primary. While there isn’t a competitive race in Conway for state representatives, there are a few competitive Republican state rep. races in other towns in the county.
