Democratic presidential hopeful Andrew Yang, who was in Conway on Thursday for a Sun editorial board, says his “Freedom Dividend” of $1,000 per month to every adult American would be a boon for individuals and for the economy. The dividend would be partially paid for by taxes on internet businesses, that currently pay little or none, and Yang says it should garner support from both liberals because it’s proposed by a Democratic president and conservatives because it will bring money into rural areas.
