To the editor:The Mount Washington Valley Harley Owners Group would like to thank the thousands of people who helped make our second annual Ride to the Sky charity barbecue a tremendous success. Without the generous support of these businesses, the volunteers who worked tirelessly and the over 1,400 hungry motorcycle enthusiasts, we would not be able to support our local charities which include Jen's Friends, the Gibson Center, Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Kennett High School Scholarship Program and Jackie Birkbeck Scholarship Fund. A special thank you to the following businesses for their support: Abbott's Dairy, Bill's Place, Chick Lumber, Christmas Farm Inn, Dana Place Inn, Cliffside Restaurant, Fryeburg Fair Association, Jackson Fire Department, Joe MacDonald, Lepage Bakery, Meredith Harley Davidson's Shop of Conway, Mount Washington Auto Road, Pete's Restaurant Equipment, RLR Enterprises, US Foodservice, Valley Ice, Varsity Beverage, White Mountain Solutions and Wildcat Tavern. With all the recent negative publicity surrounding motorcycles, here is a great example of the positive support they bring to our region. Thank you to all.
