To the editor:

I believe I’ve said this before. If someone breaks into your house by smashing a window, lets hundreds of people in, beats the people inside — with some requiring hospitalization — while others barricade themselves in a Senate room by piling furniture at the doors, laptops are stolen, a gallows is built on the front lawn, the house is trashed with millions of dollars in damage, and five police officers die within weeks due to PTSD or suicide, I would not consider that a dinner party or a pajama party.
