OSSIPEE — Fidium and the Carroll County Communications District held a ribbon cutting Oct.8 at the County Annex to celebrate new fiber connectivity and the “Gig Town” designation for several towns.

The service now reaches residents and businesses in Albany, Bartlett, Chatham, Conway, Eaton, Effingham, Freedom, Hale’s Location, Jackson, Madison, Moultonborough, Ossipee, Tamworth and Tuftonboro. Fidium’s Carroll County expansion, largely funded with federal ARPA money, was mostly completed earlier this year.
