The the editor:

Fact: There was “no obligation” for Brownfield or any town in the Mountain Division Rails to Trails corridor to assume the state’s obligation for the maintenance and any liability associated with it in the DOT contract with the grant. Period! The Brownfield portion of the trail would be built if there were no August meeting, if everyone voted no in accepting the “maintenance agreement” or if no one attended or voted.
