To the editor:

Of course the decision to kill off "The Late Show" was a financial one. CBS has been sitting on the rights to "The Syncopated Clock" for about 50 years. It's about time they brought it back to introduce a very famous, very old movie just before cutting away for the night to a test pattern rather than incurring the expense of a real TV show.
