There are many people working without pay right now, as there were during the last shutdown, both of which are Trump's fault. His appointment of completely unqualified lackeys is what brought us to the point that ICE is regarded as completely out of control (and rightfully so). Qualified leadership would not have led to the issues that now have people questioning if ICE can even be saved in its current form. The two longest shutdowns in American history have been during Trump's term, and it's because of how Trump tries to dictate everything to everybody instead of working with anyone.
No one with a brain thinks our government is all good right now. As long as Trump continues to try to be a dictator both here and abroad we are going to have serious problems. His moronic economic policies of tariffs and "deregulation" are complete and utter disasters. The only good news right now is that American voters have realized once again Trump duped them, doesn't have the answers to their problems, doesn't have a clue what he's doing in any facet of governing, and doesn't care about them in the least bit. Thankfully American voters have clearly decided to hold other Republicans accountable for abdicating their responsibilities to their constituents and the Constitution and we can at least slow down the crazy train by taking back a house of Congress in the midterms.
You don't seem to realize what a snowflake you and others like you come across as when you whine about Trump only being allowed to do 90% of the damage he wants to do to the country. Yes, the courts (other than the compromised Supreme Court) routinely stop some of the most outlandish stuff Trump tries, and throw out his most ridiculous attempts at persecuting his political enemies, but compared to the damage he's been allowed to do by Congress anyone who cries about Trump being stopped at any attempt no matter how insane sounds like the ultimate whiner. Republicans have a stranglehold on the country, but that's still not enough for you, you want your dear leader to be an omnipotent dictator (as does he). Well, get used to it, it's not going to happen. The American people are waking up, and even a partial glance at the things Trump's been doing would lead any patriotic American to oppose him and his attacks on the Constitution and American democracy.
