To the editor:

Should it be the neighbor who is always willing to help and keeps a watchful eye out for all the others in their neighborhood and town? Should it be the minister or priest who proclaims and lives the Golden Rule? Should it be the doctor or nurse who has spent years learning their profession so they can heal and alleviate pain? Should it be the public servant, like our police, fire service and highway department, who is there at all hours of the night and in all weathers to keep us safe? Should it be the politician who has the moral courage to vote for what they truly believe and not cave in to the party leadership just to keep their job?
