To the editor:

I’m not talking about a party at a football game. I’m talking about driving too close to the car in front of you. Tailgating to make the driver in front of you go faster is not only inconsiderate but a form of bullying. It is also dangerous. If the car ahead stops suddenly and you can’t stop without running into it, you are at fault and liable for damages and injuries. Over the last few weeks, I have had to stop suddenly for a dog standing in the road, for two dogs running back and forth across the road and for a deer. I will stop for any other animal as well.
