To the editor:

In my opinion, the town of Madison is in a crisis of leadership. The recent issue regarding personal use of municipal property is just the latest example. When the chair of the selectmen, Adam Price, declared that it was a “perk of the job,” I could not have been more flabbergasted. Personal use of taxpayer-funded equipment and materials is simply and emphatically wrong. After much pressure, citing the N.H. Constitution and consulting the town’s lawyer, he finally admitted it’s wrong but has perpetuated an issue regarding openness and accountability.
