To the editor:

The attack on Paul Pelosi on Oct. 28 brings home just how partisan and violent things are in our country today. This is how democracy disintegrates. In our small town, people are adding to the horrible discourse in their letters to the editor. The Sun uses freedom of speech to justify printing these screeds, so to everyone who sends in letters filled with hate and name calling, would you PLEASE STOP. If you can't write a letter intelligently to get your point across, spare us and keep your thoughts to yourself.

Sorry, but that horse is out of the barn and running down the road.

CDS certainly had a hand it when they decided to make Quoddus part of their stable of Editorial Contributors.

If you're going to publish a "bomb thrower" you can expect similar responses.

The other inconvenient truth is the 1st Amendment protects ALL SPEECH.
