To the editor:

I’m writing in support of Article 4 on the Bartlett Town warrant, which would allow Granite Backcountry Alliance to trim tree branches and thin certain areas above 1,200 feet on town conservation land for backcountry glade skiing. All of the work would be under the guidance of the board of selectmen and Bartlett Conversation Commission — which has already endorsed Granite Backcountry’s glading plan. The land abuts the new and popular Maple Villa glade zone area that was created collaboratively with Granite Backcountry, Upper Saco Valley Land Trust and the White Mountain National Forest.
