To the editor:

Our current administration claims it is all about cutting waste. Then why is it the American taxpayer is spending $3.84 million every week for the president to play golf at Mar-a-Lago?

Your criticism of President Trump for playing golf and evidently not working hard enough for you to appreciate is off-base. He doesn't accept his taxpayer salary and he works 10x harder than Joe Biden did on his most active days.

As far as providing security for Trump when he is exercising or relaxing, that is normal and done for every president and their families. Were you troubled when the Obama entourage flew to Hawaii which I'm sure cost taxpayers much more than a trip from Washington to Florida or New Jersey?

Honestly, the anti-Trump vitriol is generally totally off base. But I guess the Conway Sun does a public service in shining a light on these illegitimate criticisms because it shows that it really doesn't matter what Trump (or any Republican, for that matter) does or says, the Left will criticize him relentlessly regardless. But when Democrats do the same or worse behavior, suddenly these moralistic critics are quiet.

I'm hopeful that the economic changes Trump has initiated bear fruit in the coming months and the midterms defy history and end up supporting the party in power, because the winning has just started and is only going to get better as time progresses. Just be patient and wait.

As usual G you're shooting your mouth off instead of checking the facts. It's easily verifiable that Trump spent more time and money on golfing in his first term alone than Obama did in both his terms. AFTER, of course, Trump criticized Obama for how much golf he played during his terms AND repeatedly said he'd be so busy working he wouldn't have time for golf. Also, don't forget that we pay inflated prices at Trump's resorts for his stays, as well as much of his support staff. All of this information is readily available, but you won't question your dear leader. Instead you'll continue to make excuses, pivot to someone else and lie about them, and prove you're a diehard member of the cult.

Trump works from roughly noon to five, by the way. His "executive time" has never been shown to be anything productive, but takes up more hours in the day than anything else on his schedule.

The other huge flashing neon sign that you're a diehard cult member is that you're fine with all of Trump's moves toward authoritarianism and readily accept his idiotic claims about the economy and tariffs, which any economist will tell you don't work.

"Be patient and wait"? For what? Dictatorship? Martial law? No 2026 elections?

You believed Trump when he lied about Project 2025. Myself and others told you he was lying, now he's proving it and still you believe more of his lies.

Time to wake up G, you've joined the cult of a con man...and you've gotten conned.

Don't forget Trump is the one who claimed he wouldn't have time to play golf because he'd be working so hard...then went out and played more golf in his first term than Obama did in his two terms combined, which Trump criticized him for.

Malignant narcissism at work, and the cult members just can't see it.
