Comments that are based in character assassination are often illogical because they have to stoop to that basest of arguments. So goes this letter. As to the facts, the author gets most of his wrong.
Let's just tackle one. The writer claims that Trump weakened NATO while Biden did the opposite. This is completely false. Trump said that NATO members had to pay their fair share (their promised 2% of GDP spent on defense), which, years after making that promise, most countries were not. Trump's rhetoric got NATO members to dramatically increase their defense spending. Thus Trump's rhetoric produces a very positive result. He took no actual steps to withdraw from NATO.
That the writer blames Trump for the war in Ukraine is unfounded. Russia saw a weak US leader in Biden, and it saw the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal which Biden and Austin oversaw, and it decided now was the time to strike. Remember, Trump provided Javelin missiles to Ukraine (which Obama refused to do) which probably saved the capital from being taken in the initial assault. Biden has generally helped Ukraine adequately during the war, but he bears the brunt of the responsibility for creating the conditions favorable to Russia's invasion.
I can't help you if you won't deal with facts G Allen. Trump talked openly about leaving NATO, and experts the world over have talked about how that emboldened Putin into making a move on Ukraine. Biden has pulled NATO together and they have helped Ukraine stymie Putin. Your talking points are all from right-wing propaganda sites and infotainers, they are all factually wrong.
Also, the character assassination thing is primarily seen from the MAGA crowd, there was none in my letter. I spoke of the asinine nature of John's claims, and how ludicrous some of them were. Maybe you don't understand what character assassination means, but a good example would be any time Trump talks about another person.
MEPD, the mere fact that you try to put all the offenses of Trump on Biden shows just how far into the abyss of the cult you have fallen. Biden has not been known to cheat on his wife of many years, has not acted in a racist or bigoted manner, called everyone who isn't an old white man nasty names and accused them of being rapists and criminals, hasn't sexually assaulted women and then defamed them when they had the temerity to hold him accountable, he hasn't spewed hatred toward them, and he hasn't attempted to overthrow democracy. Do you understand how unhinged it is to try to make a comparison like that?

It was clearly sarcasm juxtaposing John's support for a reprehensible creature with your statement he's a good man, which you seem to base on him being at church. Clearly good men and women would not support someone who says and does the things Trump does. Unfortunately many supposedly religious, even evangelical people have sullied themselves in the same way. When you lie down with dogs, you get fleas, and can no longer claim to be clean.
