To the editor:

It’s election season and candidates should be sharing their views. My opponent for the one-year school board slot, Nicole Stanley, has not agreed to debate or meet with me about school board issues. Since her announcement a few weeks ago, there has been silence. I am open to meeting at any time so voters can compare us directly. Aside from her March 23 letter, which mentioned open communication, I have little information about her goals. I value transparency as much as the next person, which is why I’m always available to answer questions from the press and the public and have never declined a debate. I believe this openness is essential for voters.
