To the editor:

In response to a story in The Conway Daily Sun about Fryeburg's data center moratorium meeting written by Dawn De Busk, while I appreciate the author’s attention to technology's rapidly evolving landscape, the claim that AI and data centers will destroy local jobs and hike up utility bills relies more on fear mongering than fact.
