Are our young people being discriminated against by getting an inferior, non-competitive education? Do they know where they are going go, do they know what life is showing them?
Competition in academics just as competition in athletics. One has to compete for admission to a college, one has to compete for admission to a professional school and in life one has to compete for clients or patients.
Good schools produce good students. Just tell us readers and taxpayers what the SAT and ACT scores of graduating seniors are. Just tell us which service academies and upper tier, competitive colleges are beating a path to your door to enlist your graduates.
Here is a short but concise list of where academia is moving towards in their quest to educate our children:
1) Increase in maker learning initiatives.

3) Changing classroom approaches like flipped learning.
4) The institution of micro-credentials.
5) Growing concern for social and emotional development.
6) Promoting Activism/Social Conscientiousness

Also, add to this recipe a voting block that will forever be beholden to the Democrat/Socialist Party due to the corrupt cycle of Union Membership, Union Dues, and Union Contributions to said Party, and you have the perfect recipe for failure and underachievement without consequence or accountability.
And these are just a few of the reasons Homeschooling and Private Independent Schools outscore Public Schools and become attractive alternatives to parents that are concerned about their children's education and future.
If the Public Schools continue to ignore and dismiss parents' concerns, and scores continue to drop, the outcome(s) shouldn't be a surprise.
People have real problems with paying taxes for services not rendered.
