To the editor:

This is in response to the Sun’s April 4 article regarding the Bartlett Firefighters’ Association. As a past president, I believe I have some insight into the organization. We registered as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2005 or 2006 with the help of a local certified public accountant. It was a long process, but we did everything required. Once we had the 501(c)(3) status, we began holding suppers.
