Eleanor Cushing: Neighbors helping neighbors? Not on Deer Cover Road

I’d like to speak to the recent Oct. 3 Ossipee special town meeting, where it was voted that half of Deer Cove Road would become Class VI. More than 30 properties are affected by this decision, five year-round residents and approximately 25 seasonal residents, not including almost 40 adjacent condo units. Many seasonal residents visit and use their properties in wintertime. The town asked that impediments like decks and walls that were put in many years ago without complaint be moved or removed. All residents agreed to comply.
