To the editor:

After deliberately neglecting to clean up forest floors for 25 years, California residents are now learning a hard lesson in priorities. Trusting and putting faith in their false green environmental gods, "mother nature and mother goddess earth," above the people's needs have left their residences devastated. I doubt the voters are feeling any love, comfort or support from their "mother" now.
