To the editor:

Before COVID, it was likely that a stroll through Whitaker Woods would be a solitary event: calming, enjoyable and restorative. I have grown accustomed to meeting more people, but I have also noticed that many do not share my feelings that Whitaker Woods is a precious space that needs protection.

The woods were given as a gift, to remain wild in perpetuity! What right do we have to deface the gift ad given ? NONE...

leave whitaker woods as it was intended to stay !
