To the editor:

Rep. Bobbi Boudman recently announced that she would begin unblocking people from her official social media accounts after being publicly criticized for blocking constituents from participating in discussions on government-related pages. The important point is that she was finally forced to stop violating the civil rights of members of the public who simply disagreed with her politically. Public officials should not silence critics from official government communication channels because they dislike dissenting opinions.
