To the editor:

I am running for the Governor Wentworth Regional School District School Board because what I see and hear from the community has me concerned. Our proficiency scores are lackluster and the year-on-year budget increases are unsustainable. Some community leaders are entertaining proposals that risk dividing and fracturing our district. Additionally, current academic outcomes have prompted some parents to explore charter schools and homeschooling while closely monitoring potential open-enrollment legislation. These realities do not bode well for an already weakened system.
