To the editor:

Last Saturday, I witnessed a very moving situation. Dr. R. Laracy took time from packing to leave the next morning for an overseas trip. He changed into his kilt and went to the Healing Wall at the America Legion in Conway.

There he proceeded to play “Amazing Grace” on his bagpipes to honor those who didn’t come home and those who did but are still suffering.

I think this man deserves a great deal of appreciation from our community for his selfless demonstration for all those veterans.

I appreciate Dr. Laracy from the bottom of my heart. He brought tears of love and gratitude.
