To the editor:I would like to thank The Conway Area Humane Society for providing a most delightful event, The Great Critter Caper. I was a little apprehensive, never having participated in a road rally before. My concerns diminished as the fun and excitement escalated throughout our tour. My teammate and I followed directions to each stop where we performed a creative task, tried to successfully answer an animal trivia question, earning directions to our next stop along with another clue to solve the mystery. There were also landmark clues along the way keeping everyone alert and on the job. Proper identification of these clues would help one's point total. When we arrived at the secret finish line, The Brass Heart Inn, we handed in our results, which were then totaled up for the Super Sleuth awards. There were also prizes for the top pledge raisers, along with many door prizes. The day was complete with a great dance band and lunch. In additional to all the fun of the actual event, it was wonderful to visit all the "pit stops," many for the first time. We will return to futher investigate many of the local merchants.I can't wait for the third annual Critter Caper. I'm already planning our team costumes. Thanks again to The Conway Area Humane Society, board members, staff and volunteers, for the amazing job that you do for the animals!
