With so many capable candidates vying for Carol Shea-Porter’s seat, the most interesting race by far in next Tuesday’s primary is that of Congressional District 1. It's also the hardest to sort out.

On the Democratic side, we endorse Chris Pappas, although he is a consensus candidate. After interviewing almost all of the 11 Democrats, the editorial staff of the Sun is decidedly split.
