Conway’s state representatives are Democrats Tom Buco, Steve Woodcock and David Paige. They face a challenge from Republican Karen Umberger, who was in the Legislature, where she served on the powerful Finance Committee, until 2022, when Paige succeeded her.

Over the years, we have consistently endorsed incumbents regardless of party affiliation. We believe that as they gain experience and tenure, they become better advocates for their constituents. Moreover, we view state representatives as less partisan than other elected officials because their primary responsibility is to serve their constituents and represent Conway’s interests in Concord.

Implantment leads to a feeling of entitlement.

Strict term limits keep it fair and keeps everyone on a level playing field. Strict term limits also keeps it fresh and current.

The biggest problem is elected officials who have been there in their encampment for so long, they've become encrusted.
