I am running for county commissioner from District 1. All Carroll County residents will be able to vote for commissioners from all three districts in the upcoming election on Nov. 5.
The main role of the county commission is to manage the facilities at the county complex in Ossipee, to provide excellent services at a reasonable price. The current commission’s work has had some serious shortfalls, and the upcoming election is an opportunity to elect new members with fresh ideas. I am running as a Democrat along with former representative Susan Ticehurst (District 2) and Independent Dwight Devork (District 3). Catherine Dragonfly will be on the November ballot as the Democratic candidate for District 3, but she does not wish to serve on the commission, and has endorsed Dwight, so please don’t vote for her.
