What a week it was in Washington, and Sen. Mitch McConnell had a front row seat. On Monday, after three months away during which even the governor of McConnell's home state of Kentucky was asking for proof of life, Mitch was propped up and wheeled back into the Senate. I have to admit, his taxidermist is a master of the craft.

It was a week that showcased the current administration's thoughtful consideration of essential matters and attention to detail. It was a week that saw Vice President JD Vance begging voters for another chance while his boss ratcheted up his ongoing tantrum over the Kennedy Center threatening demolition of the building were his name not restored to its facade.
