As you probably are aware from the coverage in The Conway Daily Sun, vaping is a significant concern in our schools. I commend the leaders of the recent vaping conference at Kennett High School, which included other regional schools.

Vaping is the use of a vape pen, an electronic device that vaporizes a small amount of liquid including nicotine, cannabis extract or other drug. The vapor is then drawn into the mouth and inhaled like cigarette smoke. This provides a sensation similar to inhaling smoke, and the rapid absorption of the active ingredient, such as nicotine, without the combustion and inhalation of the products of the combustion. Vape pens are also called e-cigarettes or electronic nicotine delivery systems.
