To the editor:Thank you local businesses, volunteers and judges for making the Halloween Harvest Fest at the Farm by the River a success. The Farm By the River Bed and Breakfast with Stables would like to thank all the wonderful local businesses that have contributed to the success of the Halloween Harvest Fest at the Farm By the River. We would like to thank all the following businesses for their prize donations for the costume and pumpkin carving contests: Covered Bridge Shoppe, Lobster Trap, Notchland Inn, White Horse Grill and Tavern, White Mountain Hotel, White Birch Books Store and the Schartner Farm for the pumpkins for carving. The carved pumpkins were brought to the Merriman Nursing Home residents that evening for their enjoyment. We would also like to thank our wonderful employees, Heather and Jason Blakeney and Tammy Golden. We would also like to thank the following volunteers and judges: Joni Donaldson, Debbie Florence, Donna Woodward, and Diane, Evan and Stephanie Blakeney for their assistance.
