To the editor:On Dec. 12, we were at the bottom of our driveway on East Main Street, shoveling ice after Thursday night's storm, one of us with his arm in a sling (a handicap when shoveling, for sure). A gentleman from Fryeburg stopped beside us, got out of his car, and finished the shoveling for us. Too astounded by the unexpected gesture, we never got his name. So here's our heartfelt thanks to that unknown gentleman. The Christmas spirit is alive and well in the valley.
