Chairman George Fredette remained standing following the Pledge of Allegiance at Wednesday night's Conway School Board meeting and it was for a good reason to honor former colleague Patty Swett.Swett, who served on the board for nine straight years and then returned a second time to fill in a half year position, was recognized by the current school board for her service and dedication."Patty, you've been an all-round good person to work with," Fredette said and asked up to a standing ovation to receive a framed certificate of appreciation. "I'd like to present you this in grateful appreciation of nine and a half years of faithful and dedicated service to the children of Mount Washington Valley. Patty, it was a pleasure to be on the board with you."Swett was pleased of the recognition and received congratulatory handshakes from all of the current board (Fredette, Sheryl Kovalik, Deb Deschenes, Lisa Eastwood, Mike DiGregorio, Randy Davison and Dick Klement) along with school superintendent Carl Nelson."I enjoyed my time on the board, not all of it," Swett said, laughing.
