PITTSBURG — An armed person was shot by a Border Patrol agent at about 1 a.m. Sunday morning near the Pittsburg border, according to a statement released by Customs and Border Patrol Commissioner Rodney Scott.

The person, who is receiving treatment at an unnamed hospital, wasn’t identified and the release didn’t say whether it was a man or woman.
